Aden + Anais Sleeping Bag Review

 

 

 

As a mom of four children,  one of my favorite baby items is a sleeping bag.  So, when given the opportunity to share with you one of the finest examples, by Aden + Anais, I was thrilled.  If you have  a child between the ages of 0-24 months then you need to get a sleeping bag.  I used one, and I kid you not, with my 3rd and 4th baby just about every night.  I used it so often on my 4th baby that she seemed to know putting on the sleeping bag would mean bedtime.  

If you aren’t familiar with sleeping bags then here is what you are missing.  As we moms know, having a baby sleep with a blanket can be dangerous.  We also know that babies 18-24 months never keep a blanket on at night.  A sleeping bag addresses those issues so your baby will have a safe and restful night.  Think of it as a wearable baby blanket.  

So what makes a good quality sleeping bag?  Well, the who behind that question is Aden + Anais.  Aden + Anais offers a 100% cotton muslin sleeping bag which is breathable as to not overheat your baby and gets softer with each wash.  Now, we all know how much we wash our baby’s items.  Isn’t it refreshing to find an item that actually improves with each wash?  Another feature Aden + Anais provide is the sleeping bag zips from the bottom up.  Think diaper changes.  As I mentioned before, I used sleeping bags almost nightly, so I have had my share of different designs and companies.  Believe me, zipping from the bottom up is a great feature.  I also found it was hard to find sleeping bags that were not fleece or breathable.  The 100% cotton muslin on this sleeping bag makes it a perfect choice for cool spring nights to colder fall nights or even winter if worn on top of a heavy sleeper.  I had a fleece and a cotton sleeping bag and I used my cotton one more often even in the winter.
